In the city of Rosario, Argentina, the South American torch relay ceremony took place, officially marking the start of the journey towards the IV South American Youth Games in Panama 2026. The IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 will be held from April 12 to 25, consolidating itself as a platform for the development of new generations of athletes and an opportunity for the region to experience sport. The flame of the South American Youth Games was received by the general director of the Panama 2026 Organizing Committee, Anamae Orillac. The South American flame arrived in Panama this Friday and was taken to Marcos A. Gelabert Airport, where President José Raúl Mulino is to carry the lit flame in an official ceremony to begin the torch relay that starts in Chiriquí. Rosario 2022 brought together more than 2,500 athletes from 15 countries and was recognized by ODESUR as one of the best editions in history for its organization, social impact, and innovative format.
